Janneau X.O. Royal Grand Armagnac

Armagnac is the older of France’s two great brandies by some three hundred years, distilled once in a continuous alambic rather than twice in a pot still, which leaves more of the grape and more character in the spirit. Janneau have been at Condom since 1851. The XO is blended from eaux-de-vie well past the minimum age, aged in Gascon black oak. Amber-mahogany, rich and rancio, with prune, dried fig, walnut, vanilla and toffee, and a long dry finish. A digestif, in a tulip glass, at room temperature.
