Stone’s Ginger Wine 13.5%vol 70cl

Made in London since 1740, when Joseph Stone began fermenting raisins with ground Jamaican ginger root at a warehouse in Finsbury. It is a fortified ginger wine rather than a liqueur: sweet and warming, with genuine ginger heat rather than a polite suggestion of it. Half and half with Scotch makes a Whisky Mac, which is where most of it ends up. Also very good warmed through in winter, or over ice with lemonade in summer.
