Gin Xoriguer Mahon 70cl

Gin from Menorca, and one of only a handful anywhere with protected geographical status. The British held the island through much of the eighteenth century, and the Royal Navy’s thirst for gin comfortably outlasted the occupation. Xoriguer still distil in copper stills over wood fires, using a grape spirit base rather than grain, with juniper brought down from the Pyrenees. Softer and more aromatic than a London Dry. On Menorca it is mixed with cloudy lemonade.
