Hacienda Grimon Rioja Como Lo Haria Mi Abuelo 13%vol 2022

The name means as my grandfather would have made it, and that is exactly the method: whole uncrushed bunches fermented in open vats by carbonic maceration, the way Rioja Alavesa villages have always made their young wine. The blend is Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano and Viura, all native varieties the grandfather used. Bright pomegranate red, with raspberry, blackberry and cherry, then a fresh medium-bodied palate with silky tannin and a citrus lift on the finish. Serve it cool, at 12-16C.
