Champagne Jean Paul Deville Jeroboam Agape Blanc 300cl

A jeroboam is three litres, four ordinary bottles, and champagne ages more slowly in one because there is proportionally less air trapped under the cork. Deville are growers at Verzenay, a grand cru on the cool north face of the Montagne de Reims where Pinot Noir ripens slowly and keeps its tension. Grower champagne means fruit and bottle from the same hands. Broad and vinous with grand cru weight: orchard fruit, brioche, hazelnut and a firm chalky line. A bottle for a table of eight or more. Serve at 10C.
