The Botanist Islay Dry Gin

Made at Bruichladdich on Islay, and unusually for a gin it is genuinely a product of the place it comes from. Nine classic gin botanicals are joined by twenty-two more, all foraged by hand on the island: heather, gorse, bog myrtle, thistle, mugwort and the rest. Distilled slowly in a Lomond still. The result is complex and herbaceous rather than juniper-forward, floral and a little wild with it. It rewards a light tonic.
