Siren Gluten Free Pils 4.8%vol 33cl

German-style pils is the hardest beer to hide anything in: no fruit, no haze, no barrel, just malt, water, hops and yeast. Making one gluten free is harder again. Siren, at Finchampstead in Berkshire, use an enzyme that breaks the gluten down during brewing, so the beer is made from barley in the normal way. Four point eight percent. Cracker malt, lemon, a firm noble hop bitterness and a bone dry finish. Serve properly cold at 4-6C, with anything salty or fried.
