Longrow Peated Campbeltown 70cl 46%vol

Longrow is the heavily peated malt made at Springbank in Campbeltown, distilled twice rather than the two-and-a-half times of the main Springbank line, and made from barley dried entirely over peat smoke for forty-eight hours. Bottled at 46 percent, non-chill-filtered and without colouring. The smoke here is different from Islay’s: earthier and more maritime, with bonfire and wet rope over a sweet malty core, some vanilla from the wood and a salty finish. A few drops of water opens it right up.
