Le Plan Vermeersch Belgica Gin

Belgica is the gin made by the Vermeersch family, Belgians who moved to the southern Rhône to grow wine and kept a foot in their own country’s distilling tradition. Belgium has made genever and gin far longer than most, and the style tends to be softer and more botanical than the sharp London dry template. Juniper is present but not dominant: citrus peel, coriander, floral and herbal notes and a rounded finish. Good in a gin and tonic with a slice of orange rather than lemon, or in a negroni.
