Champagne Jean Paul Deville Rose Sappheiros 75cl

The rosé from the small family house at Verzy, on the Montagne de Reims, where Deville have grown Grand Cru Pinot Noir for five generations. Sappheiros is made by blending, the traditional Champagne method, and Pinot Noir does the work — this is a rosé with fruit and structure rather than a pale, decorative one. Wild strawberry and redcurrant, a fine bead, and a dry, saline finish. Good enough to serve with food.
