Jean-Paul Deville Hélios Carte d’Or is a grower Champagne from the Montagne de Reims, traditional method and built for drinking with food rather than as a supermarket brand. Twelve percent. Green apple, citrus, a little brioche and a clean, dry finish with fine bubbles. Serve cold at 8-9C as an aperitif, with seafood or mild soft cheese. Proper grower fizz at a price still below the big houses, from a family that farms and bottles under its own name in the village.
