Lymestone Brewery Abdominal Stoneman 50cl 7%vol

Lymestone brew at Stone in Staffordshire, on a site with a brewing history going back to the eighteenth century, and name most of their beers around the town. Abdominal Stoneman is the strong one at seven percent, a dark ruby ale in the traditional English mould rather than the modern American one. Rich malt, dark fruit, treacle, a nutty depth and a warming bitter finish. Serve at 10-12C, cellar cool rather than fridge cold, with a hard cheese, a pie, or a cold evening.
