Wine Of The Week # 25 // Pesquera Tinto ’11

Based in the heartland of Ribera Del Duero this Bodegas is 200 acres in size, and consists of well-drained soils composed of sand and gravel over a limestone and clay subsoil that feed The Tempranillo grapes, which after 10 years hard work now produce one of the most prestigious bodegas in Spain.

Brilliant ruby in colour, this wine is fresh cherry, dark berries and vanilla on the highly perfumed nose, with a hint of woodsmoke building in the glass. Sappy and nicely focused, offering zesty bitter cherry and blackberry flavors underscored by a mineral element. 75cl // 14.5% ABV // £19.99
