San Francisco’s famous Anchor Porter is made in one of the most traditional breweries in the world by the brewers of Anchor Steam Beer. Their porter is the first to be brewed post prohabition, though the recipe has been updated since then.
Produced from 100% malted barley and generous amounts of fresh, whole hops via entirely natural carbonated and a simple brewing process. This beer has a nose of dark chocolate and coffee, with a hint of cherry too. Slightly bitter, well rounded with a clearly defined end taste of burnt toffee. £2.49 // 5.6% ABV // 355ml.
