Wine Of The Week # 13 // Cristia Muscat De Beaumes De Venise

This is sweet Muscat-based wines from the village of Beaumes-de-Venise, just south of Gigondas in France’s Rhone valley. Produced entirely from Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains grapes, which is the oldest variety in the Muscat family and thus is in good standing as one of the oldest grape varieties in the world.

A delicate, pale yellow in colour this is elegant and intense wine, with a vibrant nose of flowers and fruit, which persists in the palate. Slightly viscous and sweet this wine would be ideal served with sorbets, blue cheeses and fruit tarts. A lovely bottle and a snip when compared to other Muscats of this style. £14.99 // 15% ABV // 750ml.
