Marchesi Antinori Srl is an Italian wine company that can trace its history back to 1385. They are one of the biggest wine producers in Italy, and their innovations played a large part in the “Super-Tuscan” revolution of the 1970s. The family have been producing wine for six centuries, encapsulating twenty six generations of uninterrupted family ownership.

This wine is deep purple bordering on crimson in colour, it has a distinct burnt oak nose balanced against tobacco, almond, thyme liquorices and forest fruits. All in all a complex bouquet full of depth. With regard to taste, dark chocolate in conjunction with star anise and blackcurrants, soft tannins bring a lightly bitter, creamy oak texture.
